Actors and musicians tell the story of a collection of stringed instruments that miraculously survived the Holocaust, and of the family that brought them back to life.
Stories from the Violins of Hope is based on my conversations with the remarkable Israeli violin maker Amnon Weinstein and my research about the individual violins he, his father, and his son restored. Every violin has a story to tell, as does the man who wrestled with his family's four hundred ghosts left behind in Europe.
