Inspired by my conversations with Israeli violin maker Amnon Weinstein and interwoven with music, Stories from the Violins of Hope tells the story of a collection of stringed instruments that miraculously survived the Holocaust, and the extraordinary Israeli violin maker who wrestles with his own family's 400 ghosts to bring these instruments back to life, and to the world.
What people are saying:
"Just when I think I have read and heard and seen everything there could possibly be about the Shoah, this comes along. AMAZING!"
"The story and the music combined was magical."
"The narration, direction, actors, and incredible musicians touched my soul.! As a retired Jewish educator, I feel this program should be featured in schools. This was an incredible story that I had never heard before. Sensitive, well presented, and important!"
